Welcome to JAR -- Book Club Kits

Just Add Readers -- book club kits

    The San Antonio Public Library has created kits for thirty-eight different titles to assist book discussion groups. Each kit includes ten copies of the book and a binder with material intended to support discussion of the book, including biographical information about the author, book reviews, suggestions for further reading, and discussion questions.

 

Kit Policies

  • Book Kits may be checked out by borrowers with a valid San Antonio Public Library card only.

  • Borrowers are required to sign a borrowing agreement (see below). If the borrower is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign the agreement and present photo ID.

  • Borrowers will be charged for full replacement costs (see below) of lost or damaged kits or any parts of the kits.

  • Checkout period for the kits is 6 weeks with no extensions and no renewals.

  • Kits must be reserved in advance.

  • Borrowers may check out only one kit at a time.

  • Overdue charges are $2.00 per day with a maximum of $10.00

  • Kits may be returned to the Circulation Desk of any San Antonio Public Library during regular library hours.

  • Borrowers are responsible for careful use and cleanliness of all the parts of the kits.
