The TexShare CARD... Imagine a Library as Big As Texas!

If you’re a registered patron of a participating library, you may request a TexShare Card from your home library. You must be a patron in good standing and have demonstrated compliance with your library’s existing borrowing

Get Your TexShare Card

TexShare Cards are provided by your local public library or academic library. Use Find-A-Library or the TexShare Card Map to see if your library participates if your library participates in the TexShare card program and to see the eligibility requirement.

San Antonio Public Library and most of the area academic libraries do participate in TexShare Program.

Small Business Development Center at UTSA

Community Borrowing Program at the UTSA Library

The Community Borrowing Program was created to give non-UTSA affiliated individuals access to the resources of UTSA libraries. There is a $25 annual fee to become a member, payable by check or UTSA guest card. You must be the least 16 years of age to be eligible for membership in the Community Borrowing Program.

Our Lady of the Lake University Library- Community Users' Program

Community Borrowing Program at Sueltenfuss Library of Our Lady of the Lake University 

If you are a student at a participating university, you can acquire a Texshare card and check out materials from the OLLU library using that.

If you are not able to get a TexShare card, you can sign up for a Community User card at the OLLU library. The Community User card is $25/semester and allows you to check out books for two weeks at a time.

Community Users and TexShare cardholders are not able to check out DVDs or other media.

Special Privileges Library Cards at Coates Library at Trinity University

If you apply and are accepted to receive a Special Privileges Card, you must pay a non-refundable fee of $35.00.

You may have a maximum of 4 books checked out at one time.

Materials that do not circulate are reference books, periodicals, Children’s textbooks, items marked "Non-Circulating," microforms, Media materials, and materials housed in Special Collections.Lockers, study rooms, interlibrary loans, and certain on-line databases are not available.

Coates library accepts TexShare cards.
