VR with Oculus Quest

What is the Oculus Quest?

The Oculus Quest is a virtual reality system. It is essentially a headset, or a pair of goggles, that allows you to view a virtual world through accompanying software. The Quest comes with two Touch controllers to provide a unique immersive experience that goes beyond what the Oculus Go can provide. Because the Quest does not require a desktop/monitor, it is an extremely powerful yet easily portable option for VR.

How do I get one?

Teen Services has two Oculus Quest systems; they are available for request through the TSSR Request System.

How do I set it up?

Because the Oculus Quest does not require any equipment other than the headset and the controllers, there is no set up needed. As long as the Oculus Quest is charged, it can be powered on and used immediately! If needed, additional support can be found here.

Current Games

The Oculus Quest comes pre-loaded with a variety of games, including Beat Saber.

With the fast pace of game development in mind, encourage your teens to identify any new (free) games that should be downloaded to the Oculus Go. These can be downloaded when using the Oculus Go headset through the main interface. Please ensure that any new games downloaded to the Oculus Go have one of the accompanying ratings:

Mature/Adults Only games are not permitted to be downloaded on the Oculus Go.
