What Is A Database?

A database is a collection of information organized for efficient retrieval. San Antonio Public Library pays for subscriptions to a variety of databases that contain articles from established periodicals and material from well-respected print reference sources. We hope these help you get your information quickly! If you need help, just ask a librarian!

Search Multiple Databases at Once

NOTE: Effective October 1, 360 Search will no longer be available. Cross-searching multiple resources is still possible within the resources of one particular company (e.g. you can cross-search most EBSCO databases or Gale databases). When using a database, look for menu options, like "choose databases" or "more databases," for cross-searching opportunities.

  • Search Multiple Databases
Not sure which database to use? Try searching several databases at once! 360 Search lets you search our databases by category or you can pick and choose which database to include. Get all the results you need in one pass or determine which database best covers your topic.
