What is a Mystery?
A mystery is a story that has an event or a crime that needs to be solved. The detectives or main characters in the story seek clues to find the answer by the novel's end.
Readers can also attempt to solve the mystery by following the clues. Readers might be able to solve the mystery sooner than the characters in the story!
To search for a mystery in the library's catalog, you can do a keyword search for "mysteries" or "mysteries and detective stories" and limit the location to juvenile. This will produce a long list of mysteries for you to choose from!
