Back in 1938, when folks listened to the radio rather than watched TV, Orson Welles played a huge practical joke on America when he broadcast what seemed to be a news flash about an invasion of Martians. This famous radio show was based on the classic Science Fiction novel War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells.
