Kinder Readiness Checklist

Does your child:

  • Know first name, last name, caregiver's name and address?

  • Recognize letters and numbers up to 10.  Know basic colors and shapes (triangle, square, circle, rectangle)?

  • Use the bathroom independently and wash hands?

  • Solve problems with words?

  • Follow instructions from teachers, parents and caregivers?

  • Communicate wants and needs (like hunger, pain, happiness) with words?

  • Feel safe being apart from normal caregiver during the school day?

  • Sit quietly for short periods of time?

  • Show curiosity for activities like story time?

Help your child be able to answer "YES" to these questions.  Help your child be kindergaren ready!
