Summer Reading Club for Adults 2020

Sign up online for the Summer Reading Club for Adults.

Once you've registered, download a free punch card here
(or request one from your local library branch)
to keep track of:

*books you've listened to or read

*library activities you've participated in
Some examples of library activities you can participate in this summer include:

*Attending a virtual library program - see the Library's Calendar of Events
*Watching a Virtual Programming video on the Library's YouTube Channel
* Completing a Virtual Escape Room
*Completing a virtual jigsaw puzzle featuring art from around the Library
*Participating in the discussion on the Library's GoodReads Group
* Pick up a take and make craft kit from a Library Branch

 

When you've completed 8 books or activities, you'll receive a limited edition Imagine notebook and pen.
 Contact your library to make arrangements to pick up your prizes.
 

Throughout Summer Reading, San Antonio Public Library will have a variety of fun summer activities planned - both online programs to participate in and take and make kits that you can do at home.  See the Library's Events Calendar for updates to the program schedule.

Take and Make Craft Kits

Pick up a Yarn Wrapped Words Take and Make Kit from any library location beginning June 16
Available on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last

Instructions:

We supply: Yarn, craft wire

You supply: Paper, scissors, wire cutters

1. Draw your word on a piece of paper. Shape the wire to follow the word on your paper. Word must be drawn in a continuous line.

2. Make a small loop at the start of your first letter and tie your yarn to it.

3. Wrap your yarn around the wire until you have covered your word. Tie off yarn to a small loop at the end of your last letter.
