The Food Supply and Home Front series includes posters produced by the United States Food Administration (USFA), created in 1917. The USFA campaigned to convince Americans to change their eating habits in order for there to be enough food available to feed our military and the starving civilians in Europe. This included conserving wheat, meat, and sugar so those items could be sent overseas. Other posters in the series were created to encourage promotion of farming, opportunities for women and the donation of books for soldiers.
