Burn After Reading
Osbourne Cox is a CIA analyst who quits his job after being demoted. He decides to write a memoir about his life in the CIA. His wife, Katie, wants a divorce and, based on the advice of her divorce lawyer, she downloads many of his personal and financial files onto a disc. Katie's lover is Treasury agent Harry Pfarrer. The disc eventually finds its way to Hardbodies, a workout gym. An employee of the gym, Chad Feldheimer, obtains the disc and ascertains that it contains classified government information. Along with his fellow employee, Linda Litzke, he intends to use the disc to blackmail Osbourne. When blackmailing him fails, Linda decides to take the information to the Russian embassy. At the embassy, she hands the disc over to the Russians, promising that she will give them more information. Linda and Chad don't have any more information, so they decide to break into Cox's house. This brings about a series of events that no one foresees.
Death at a Funeral
Daniel is a decent young man who is married to Jane. They live at his father's home. When his father dies, it his up to him to organize his funeral. On the morning of the funeral, with a suitably grave expression on his face, Daniel is ready to welcome his father's friends and relatives. But preserving the dignity inherent in such a circumstance will be a hard task. Particularly with an undertaker who botches his work; his famous, but selfish brother has returned from the USA; his cousin's fiancé has accidentally ingested drugs; a man takes advantage of the sad event to win back the heart, or rather the body, of a woman who is about to marry another; a handicapped old uncle who is also the most unbearable pain in the neck. To cap it all, Daniel notices the presence among the mourners of a mysterious dwarf nobody else seems to know.

In the Loop
The British Prime Minister and the U.S. President infer that they want to embark on a war in the Middle East. Simon Foster, the British Minister for International Development states, off the cuff, in a radio interview that 'war is unforeseeable.' He later tries to recant his statement to news reporters with another statement. Both remarks start a series of manoeuvrings on both sides by both the pro- and anti-war factions in both governments. U.S. Assistant Secretary for Diplomacy Karen Clarke and U.S. Lieutenant General George Miller lead the anti-war faction, against chief warmonger Linton Barwick. Each principle with their staff, some of whom do not agree with their political master, will do whatever he or she needs to achieve the desired end goal. This includes having fake meetings, having fake committees, spinning information, leaking information and documents, and doctoring documents. These manoeuvrings are most important in the lead up to the UN vote on the issue.
