Libro in Action

Volunteer: Libro

Looking for Libro the Library Lion
The San Antonio Public Library is seeking energetic volunteers to perform as Libro the Library Lion mascot. The volunteers will make special appearances at city-wide events wearing the Libro costume. This would be the ideal community service experience for aspiring actors to add to their resume. If you enjoy entertaining children, or you know someone who does, here’s your chance to be on center stage. Appearances are usually from one to four hours with 20 minute intervals in the costume. No stunts are involved, just waving and hugging.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and be between 5'2" and 6'2" tall with a maximum weight of 250 lbs. Volunteers must have completed the volunteer application procedure, including the background check. Volunteers must have transportation to the event sites. This position would be on an as-needed basis.
