Get involved — VOLUNTEER! The work of every volunteer supports our library system.

Volunteering can be rewarding! Volunteering just a few hours of your time each week can lead to several positive results:

  • Gain a sense of satisfaction from helping others.

A few ways you might volunteer...

  • Assist with children's activities
  • Check the Library's web links
  • Help keep our video, DVD and CD collections in order
  • Help others with genealogy research or help maintain our Texana information
  • Help set up exhibits
  • Keep periodical materials in order
  • Share your knowledge and talents at the Central Library or your neighborhood branch library
  • Shelve books
  • Work with special projects or maintain library materials.

What we look for in a volunteer:

  • Possess personal qualities of maturity and reliability
