Keychain

Box Chain with Paracord

Take two pieces of string and cut them to the same length. For this instructional, I am using paracord and measured 60 inches per string.

Find the center of one piece of string and wind it around your finger giving equal parts of string on each side.

Thread your key ring on now. It should fall on the underside of your finger.

Thread the second piece of string on the top of your finger, but under the one wrapped around your finger. Make sure you have an even length of string on each side.

Go over and under from right to left with your right string, closing the opening from the first string.

Go over and under from left to right with your left string, closing the opening from the first string.

Your project should then look like so

Remove your project from finger and gently pull all four sides together

You will now repeat the process without your finger where you will go over and under and gently pull the strings close together after ever weave. Refer to images below for guidance. Keep in mind the objective is to always close the openings of the base (hot pink) string, so you may not always start with weaving right to left, but instead left to right.
