Take a piece of origami paper and fold in half.
While paper is still folded in half, create an x-crease towards top by folding both top portions from one side to the other.
While paper is still folded in half, bring bottom right corner up to center of the X-crease you just created.
Turn paper sideways with open end upward. With the same paper you brought up to the center of the X-crease, fold once more to create a cone shape.
Bring right portion of project up along the dotted portion indicated in diagram.
Turn project around and fold in half following dotted lines as indicated in diagram.
Cut along dotted line indicated in diagram.
Open project. You will see creases making a star. These will be your guide for the next steps.
Fold the bottom paper up to meet the two dots indicated in the diagram. You will line your paper up just above the center point and to the lines of the star. Repeat for all 5 sides.
You will then create a crease on all 5points by folding two of the recent folds upward. View diagram for visual. Repeat on all sides. There should be a slight overlap each time you do so.
Once you have done so you will bring the same folds together on each side and the folds should fall into place creating a star.
Flip project around and begin folding points of star. Follow dotted line on diagram to indicate where fold should occur. Fold should start at center of project and end at tip of star point. Repeat for all points going in order.
