Children's Award Books

Within the last 100 years or so, various organizations have chosen to honor outstanding books written for young people. Each award highlights the finest book within a particular category or which reflects a particular theme. Most are awarded annually.

The 2x2 List is a project of the Children's Round Table which is a unit of the Texas Library Association.

Texas Library Association (TLA)
TLA is the professional association of librarianship and of librarians in Texas. The TLA website includes a wide variety of resources useful to librarians and library users.

Each year, the 2x2 Committee publishes a list of recommended books for children age 2 through the grade 2. This is the list for 2019.
