Kanopy Kids features a collection of films and TV series that inspire and inform, helping children develop social emotional skills and reinforcing valuable learning topics, such as history, science, and new languages. Kanopy Kids offers a diverse selection of educational and entertaining content, including movies, TV series, animated storybooks, live action features, and animated favorites.
In the Kanopy Kids section, you'll only see content that's suitable for children, so kids can browse freely. You can also set up parental controls to ensure children can't view content outside of Kanopy Kids.
To access Kanopy Kids, log in to your Kanopy account, then click Kids in the top-right corner of your homepage.
Or, in the Kanopy mobile app, tap More at the bottom of the screen, then Go to Kanopy Kids.
What age range is Kanopy Kids suitable for?
Kanopy Kids is appropriate for children ages 2 and up, with a focus on ages 2-8.
Who can access Kanopy Kids?
Kanopy Kids is only available to Kanopy users with active public library memberships. If you're a member of a public library but don't see a link to enter Kanopy Kids, check which membership you're accessing Kanopy through.
What devices can I use to access Kanopy Kids?
Patrons can access Kanopy Kids on their computer, TV, or mobile device. See a list of supported mobile and TV apps. If you're using the Kanopy mobile app, we recommend updating it to the latest version for the best experience.
How many play credits do Kanopy Kids titles use?
Kanopy Kids titles don't use play credits. You'll have unlimited access to everything in the Kanopy Kids section.
Can my child create their own Kanopy account?
You must be at least 18 years old to have a Kanopy account. Users under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian. If you're sharing a Kanopy account with your child, you can use Kanopy on multiple devices simultaneously, so your child can use Kanopy Kids on one device while you use Kanopy on another device.
