Join the San Antonio Public Library and San Antonio Gender Association in honoring transgender, two-spirit, and gender-diverse lives lost to violence over the past year. After a resource fair, the San Antonio Public Library will host an open mic for people to share memories, songs, poems, and speeches. There will be a resource fair starting at 6:00 PM with the Open Mic starting at 7:00 PM.

- Following the open mic there will be a candlelight vigil with a reading of names.

Queer Crafternoon is offered at Central Library (3rd Tuesday of the Month from 6-7 pm). We are hosting a space for people to listen to stories as they explore their creativity. So come and play with pastels, knit with nonchalance, delight in doodling! In fact, as long as it gets your creativity flowing, whether it’s sewing or Sudoku, feel free to bring your craft and join in. While everyone is welcome, this program is designed to be a safe space for members of the queer community. Each week we’ll play a podcast or excerpts from books with queer-centered storylines or queer characters. You can listen and craft, strike up a conversation about that week’s current audio selection, or swap tips with a fellow crafter.

Come play tabletop games and meet other members of San Antonio's adult queer community in a safe space. From Settlers of Cataan to Uno, the library will provide a variety of board games to challenge, delight, maybe annoy, but certainly entertain you. Of course, also feel free to bring your own if you want to share a game you love!
