The Schaefer Branch Library is excited to share with you their new Schaefer Branch Library Trail!  The trail offers opportunities for fresh air, exercise, and exploration. It is NOW OPEN to the public but we invite you for a special celebration on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. 

The celebration will be both in-person and online. We will have giveaways and activities onsite and online features as well!  Plus, our friends at San Antonio Parks and Recreation will be joining us.

What to expect?

In-person activities available: 

•  SAPL giveaways - available while supplies last

•   SAPL take-and-make bags - available while supplies last

•  Walk along the trail, pets are welcome!

•  Grab-and-go activity bags from SAPL and Parks and Recreation

•  Yard games - Life-size Jenda, life-size Connect Four, and corn hole

•  Explore the StoryWalk® along Schaefer Trail path

•  Nature scavenger hunt by Parks and Recreation - prizes available while supplies last

Online features available:

•  Schaefer Trail Spotify playlist! It's great for RPM exercise. 

•  Hilarious video of shark and dinosaur race on the new Schaefer Trail!

•  Recorded remarks from distinguished guests

  And much more!
