I like reading this Up Your Score book because it does a good job mentioning what is on the SAT exam. The Up Your Score book has several pages of vocabulary words you must know and comprehend. This book also illustrates several practice math problems. Chapter three generally lists the math areas: arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. I don’t think there is any trigonometry or calculus. My favorite section deals with writing essays. Essay writing is broken down into three parts: introduction, body, and conclusion. Usually SAT guide books are bulky, but this book is slim and portable at 328 pages in length. The creators of the SAT are the ETS (Educational Testing Service), but the book jokingly calls them the Evil Testing Serpent (ETS).
