When filing for a claim…Medical Evidence is extremely important. The VA counts how many times a particular medical issue was noted while in service. The more evidence the better! Be careful though…. SF180: also found in the National Archives webpage and after 10 years exiting the military, your military records can also be found utilizing this form. If a veteran is requesting medical records before the 10 year mark, your records may still be with the Department of Defense (DOD). You may need legal aid help to fast track receiving your medical documents. However, the service Veteran should still try to contact the National archives and/or try to submit SF180.

Annual Clothing allowance: According to the Audie Murphy VA Medical Hospital Prosthetics Office, a Veteran can turn paperwork into the Prosthetic from Jan 31, 2024 thru July 2024. If you have received any kind of brace or have received some kind of ointment that rubs/damages skin/clothing, veteran can turn this paperwork and receive compensation. This can only be done once a year.

Toxic Exposure: This document allows the veteran to enroll into a registry following a health exam appointment with the VA appointed doctor.
