By direction of Mayor Ron Nirenberg and in partnership with SAWS, the San Antonio Area Foundation has set up a charitable fund, the Community Pipe Repair Program Fund (“CPR Fund”), to assist low-income households with plumbing repairs resulting from the recent snowstorm and freezing temperatures.

Individuals and families will apply for assistance from the CPR Fund directly through SAWS, who will screen their customers to evaluate needs and the appropriate response based on household income. The repair program will be administered by SAWS until all funds are exhausted.  The program will prioritize emergency pipe repair that risks causing harm to life, health or safety of the occupants.  The page below allows residents to donate to help those in need online or by mail.   https://saafdn.org/cpr/

The Texas Comprehensive Energy Assistance program is available to Texas residents: You must be a resident of Texas and you must need financial assistance with home energy costs. A person who participates or has family members who receives SSI or certain Means Tested Veterans Program payments, automatically meets the eligibility requirement.
