Yanawana Herbolarios
Yanawana Herbolarios is a 501(c)3 organization operating primarily in the San Antonio metrocom, with a mission to share, preserve, and honor cultural knowledge of the land and make it universally accessible as a means to empower and revive Indigenous living practices including medical botanical usage, water and land stewardship, and coming together as a community in times of need. We are an Indigenous and woman founded and led organization established in January 2016 to meet unaddressed needs in the areas of healthcare and preparedness amongst vulnerable communities of San Antonio TX, with a special focus on BIPOC and LGBTQ communities, serving folks of all ages from youth to elders.
Jovita Idár Little Pantry & Fridge
We began during the pandemic to provide dry non-perishables to our community, and have grown to include fridge goods. Since opening, we have assisted eight other neighborhoods in establishing their own pantries and fridges. We are trans, we are anti-capitalist, anti-racist and pro-revolution. We are here until every neighborhood in San Antonio is fed.
