If you want to follow along with the class, and apply the lessons learned to your own worksheet but do not own Excel 2019 or Office 365, you are welcome to use alternatives like Google Sheets, Excel for Web or LibreOffice Calc, which are all free alternatives.
Online only ~ requires an internet connection to use and a Microsoft Account
You would be able to use Microsoft Office for Web in order to use an abidged version of Excel Online and get the basics that MS Office has to offer.

You can use Google Sheets with Google Docs in order to use the full version of Google's version of Excel.

Desktop application ~ does not require an internet connection, or an account to use
You'd be able to download and install LibreOffice from the Document Foundation to use their version of Excel, it will not come with the full feature set that Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets has to offer, but it is free and capable enough to compete with both competitors and does not require an internet connection or an account to use.
