Call 210.207.4466 to listen to a new story every week!
For over 20 years the children of San Antonio have been calling in to Dial-A-Story to hear a children's story. The children's librarians record new stories every Tuesday and Friday, one in English and one in Spanish.
Talking, Singing, Reading, Writing, and Playing are five ways you can help your young children start their journey to becoming readers. The library has so many great story times, books, and resources for infants and toddlers to share with you to help get you started!
Let's sing, read, write, talk, and play together! Romp through rhymes, songs, and stories with a skilled Children's Librarian to get your baby giggling, wiggling, and learning. Babies experience the sounds and structure of language through rhythm, rhyme and repetition. Come prepared to sit on the floor for some one-on-one time with your little one. Songs, stories, and rhymes usually lasts about fifteen to twenty minutes, but we invite you stay and let babies play and grownups connect afterwards.

Let’s move, sing, talk, read, and play together in this highly energetic and interactive program designed for inquisitive toddlers 18 months to 3 years and their grownups. Toddler Story Times are designed to enhance toddlers' social, emotional and language development through twenty to thirty minutes of active participation in songs, rhymes, and stories. Stay to play, create, or connect after the program.
