Celebrating Johnston Branch Library's 40th anniversary also has us celebrating poetry! It's a fact that our first Children's Librarian, Leah Carter Johnston, began the Young Pegasus poetry competition in 1927. Young Pegasus continues today and is the longest-running competition of its kind! Join our librarians below for some poetry picks for our anniversary. We think you will enjoy these!
