A native of San Antonio, Rosemary Kowalski is an immensely successful business woman and philanthropist. She and her husband began their catering business in 1946, and by Hemisfair '68 it had grown into Catering by Rosemary. Her success led to her induction into the Texas Business Hall of Fame, an organization that includes very few women. Kowalski currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of the hospitality company she started more than 70 years ago, now known as The RK Group.
