In his own words - Lyons, Bill

William "Bill" Lyons II is the current owner of the River Walk restaurant Casa Rio and downtown's Schilo's Delicatessan. Casa Rio was established by Lyon's grandfather, Alfred F. Beyer, in 1946, becoming the first downtown business ever to operate at river level and the first to offer river dinner boat cruises.  In 1980, Lyons purchased the iconic Schilo's from the original family owners, keeping alive the culinary traditions rooted in its German heritage.  Lyons has served as president  of the Paseo del Rio Association (2000-2002) and remains an active member of several downtown boards and committees.
